Shop Spot

www.StudandStud.com

Offering a fresh perspective on e-commerce, Stud and Stud is an online boutique with a unique vision. Facing off the high street by promoting young design talent in an online forum, Méryl Fourmon opened Stud and Stud’s metaphorical doors earlier this year.

Previously head of press at luxury lingerie atelier, Bordelle, Fourmon offers up Stud and Stud exclusives, made-to order numbers and undiscovered labels. Acting as an online showcase for established and the unknown, Stud and Stud carefully chooses avant-garde and adventurous pieces. Fearless and effacing, the collections aren’t for the timid (note Mint Siren’s torso harness and cage skirt).

Focusing on emerging designers, recent graduates and those hard-to-obtain labels, Stud and Stud’s variety is all part of its USP. As is their exclusive bespoke pieces. I guess this is where Fourmon’s connections come in useful as Bordelle offers made to order waspies, corsets and subtly subversive sets. Working a Burlesque ‘50s vibe, Bordelle’s ruffles, nets and studs show strength - unusual for underwear, but mighty alluring.

More than just showcasing designers, Stud and Stud features items exclusive to the site. Taking a further leap away from the high street shopping experience, we, the buyer, the customer, the shopper, get the opportunity to look like no one else, to own a piece we know can’t be seen on some x-list celeb or a girl on the bus, by buying a Stud and Stud exclusive. So, stocking individual designs from GMG, JustX, Tamzin Lillywhite and Simon Preen, amongst others, really does booster Stud and Stud’s USP!

Carefully mixing eclectic designers and designs, Stud and Stud may not be a one-stop-shop but it is the place to go if your wardrobe needs a boost of edge and individuality.
