Taking his inspiration from the darling of Abstract Expressionism, Peggy Guggenheim, Kinder's predominantly black collection had a Pollock-like splattering of neon. Pencil skirts and fitted ankle grazing dresses were worn with billowing jackets and sharply tailored coats.
Aggunini clashed demure lengths with avant-garde shapes and vivid colours - all artfully constructed and contrasted to the sparkling Mary-Janes the models stepped out in. Ankle skimming black gowns were teamed with androgynous dress coats - lovely white stitching and soft lapels. Other billowing, almost sportswear shaped rain-jackets dipped in yellow graced the models, along ide a splattering of lace a-symmetric tailored numbers.
The models had conical pony tails and glittering nails and the make-up was a slash of coral lipstick and winged black eyes, sharp and sexy. Magnificent Stephen Jones veiled creations – deconstructed transparent Top Hats draped in coloured net – adorned others.Having recently been picked up by Macy’s to do a limited Impulse line, Mr. Aggunini’s name will be working the fashion rounds for seasons more.
