The show started late - obviously, it is fashion week after all, really it only heightened the crowds anticipation. Animaka didn't fail us. The collection, named 'Totem' took it's inspiration from Primitivism and tribal prints. This idea was abstract, to say the least. Translated through print and the colour scheme -Mushroom, chocolate brown, cream and ivory tones. The collection was fluid and self-referential.
Digitalised animal prints on silk georgette were fluid and flattering. In a variety of lengths and silhouettes, ranging from floor skimming to mini, worn with ribbed arm and leg warmers, the prints looked bold and directional. The dresses were paired with skinny belts and jackets. A leather sleeved wrap jacket and the shearling numbers looked like a cozy winter warmer.
